Our Addiction and Substance Abuse Treatment program addresses the causes of addiction and substance use disorders. Our team has created an environment where clients are able to develop healthy skills and interact with supportive peers. The program utilizes the following treatments:
- Treatment for co-occurring mental health condition
- Relapse prevention
- Court-ordered treatment collaboration with probation officers and courts
- Use of the Matrix model which is focused on clients with substance use disorders mainly stimulant substances such as cocaine, crystal meth, and methamphetamine-based prescription drugs.
Our case management program begins with an assessment of patient needs, evaluation of treatment options, coordination of care and patient advocate. Individuals living with mental illness often have difficulties with balancing life’s daily tasks, navigating through appointments, accessing resources, and managing care. With our Case Management Services, our clients will have someone available that will aid in planning and care coordination while using a holistic client-centered approach.
CBT is a type of psychotherapy designed to deal with problem behaviors, thoughts, and emotional patterns. At this program, Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) plays a major role in addiction treatment. Through evidence-based methods and techniques, patients can begin addressing the roots of addiction. CBT also allows individuals to address any co-occurring disorders they may have, such as depression or anxiety. We realize that addiction is much more than merely a physical dependence on drugs or alcohol. Oftentimes there are underlying emotional and mental roots. These roots and underlying causes must be worked through in therapy. Working through these issues in CBT helps prevent the chances of relapse from occurring. After treatment, it is normal to experience temptations and cravings. The key is to have a set of learned tools and coping mechanisms that help you to overcome them.
Our therapy is focused on the power of therapy and the community in the road to recovery. Depending on specific needs, clients will be housed close to the facility if they are based out of town for the duration of the program. The following treatment modalities are utilized:
- Exploration of Relationship Patterns
- Individual, group, and family counseling
- Group and individualized therapy
- Family therapy
Holistic therapies include such offerings as art, music, and meditation. Such treatments benefit more than just physical health. They treat mental, emotional life, and addiction problems well. Thus, holistic methods focus on the whole body and mental
wellness. Our holistic approach include:
- Yoga
- Mindfulness training
- Nutrition
- Music and art therapy
These types of exercises help patients release and work through emotions and recovery in healthy ways. Patients learn to heal through creative expressions with drumming, singing, writing, listening to music, playing instruments, drawing, painting, sculpting, and sketching to gain a sense of productivity and empowerment.
The DBT approach is multidimensional and comprehensive and relies on learning skills to change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. Our therapists teach critical behavioral skills by modeling, providing instructions, telling stories, practicing, giving feedback, and coaching. Dialectical behavior therapy helps clients seeking addiction treatment to learn several skills—mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation—that are effective at helping addicted people stop using drugs and alcohol. DBT also focuses on changing an individual’s behavior and surroundings to make sobriety easier.
We provide our patients with GED preparation classes, living skills training and development, home economics/financial budgeting and teaching skills to obtain and maintain a job.
- Helping patients seek out environments and peer groups that discourage drug use
- Encouraging addicts to remove triggers such as drug paraphernalia or unhealthy relationships from their daily lives
- Bolstering self-esteem and confidence to help patients stay sober through
stressful periods
